V.Macken Commercial Properties is an established business focusing on the leasing, management, and sales of retail, office, and commercial industrial buildings.

Valerie Macken has worked as a marketing expert for over 25 years. Valerie graduated from UC Davis with Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, 1977. She has been a Commercial Real Estate broker for over 15 years. She is a life long resident of Santa Cruz County therefore her client base is well established and varied. Prior to Valerie's career in Real Estate she was the Owner/Broker of Macken Insurance Agency specializing in Commercial Insurance.

Valerie has been an active member of the Santa Cruz Rotary club for over 23 years and served on its Board of Directors 2006-2008. Valerie is a Past President of the Omega Nu organization and was a member of the 1996 Civil Grand Jury. Valerie is married to John M. Christensen, Chief Executive Officer of HOPE Services. They have three sons and one daughter.
